👨🏽🍳 Chef Rogelio Torres | Culinary Arts
A proud graduate of Donna High School, Chef Torres turned his passion for food into a career—and now into a calling.
After earning his culinary certificate from Texas State Technical College, he gained real-world experience working at Texas Longhorn, Logan’s Roadhouse, Harlingen Medical Center (as a sous chef), and even served as a cafeteria manager right here in Donna ISD.
Never one to stop learning, Chef Torres went on to earn his teaching certification through University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and is now shaping the next generation of culinary professionals at DHS 👏

🚓 Robert Cantu | Criminal Justice
Mr. Cantu is another proud Donna graduate (Class of 2006) and former Donna Police Officer—a true product of our community 👮🏽♂️🎓
He earned his bachelor’s degree from University of Texas at Austin 🤘🏽 and a master’s degree from Western Governors University.
📚 At DHS, Mr. Cantu teaches Principles of Law and Criminal Investigations, giving students hands-on, career-ready skills that lead to:
• A Law Enforcement endorsement
• The opportunity to earn a Level II Unarmed Security Officer Certificate
Beyond the classroom, he serves as:
🏈 Varsity Football Coach
🏋🏽♂️ Powerlifting Coach
👥 CTSO Criminal Justice Club Sponsor
He’s also continuing his leadership journey and is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Educational Leadership at UTRGV.
