Today, we are proud to shine the spotlight on four phenomenal CTE educators whose real-world experience is shaping the future of our students every single day. Their careers didnβt just happen in a classroomβthey were built in the field, in service, and in leadership.
π¦· Ms. Nelda Rebollar β Dental Science
With 22 years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist, Ms. Rebollar brings unmatched industry knowledge to our Dental program. She spent 17 years with De La Garza Family Dental, giving students firsthand insight into professional dental practice and patient care. Her experience ensures students are learning exactly what todayβs workforce demands.
π©Ί Ms. Mary Cantu β Patient Care / Health Sciences
Ms. Cantu has over 20 years of nursing experience across multiple medical settings. Her roles have included Staff Nurse, Clinical Liaison, Wound Care Nurse, Telehealth Nurse, and Community-Based Primary Nurse. She began her journey at South Texas College, earning her ADN and becoming an RN in 2005. She later earned her BSN (Summa Cum Laude) and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing β Family Nurse Practitioner, becoming a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner in 2024. Her story shows students whatβs possible through persistence and purpose.
πΊπΈ Gunnery Sergeant Ramiro Leal β MCJROTC
Gunnery Sergeant Leal proudly served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, working as a Career Recruiter (MOS 8412) and completing two combat deployments to Iraq. He now pours his leadership, discipline, and mentorship into developing the next generation of leaders through MCJROTC.
ποΈ Sergeant Major Jose Luis Romero β MCJROTC
Sergeant Major Romero brings an incredible 29 years of Marine Corps service to our campus. Enlisting in 1994, he served in leadership roles across the globe, including Okinawa, Iraq, and Afghanistan. His career includes serving as First Sergeant, Acting Sergeant Major, and Battalion Sergeant Major. His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and moreβreflecting a lifetime of service, leadership, and excellence that now inspires our cadets daily.
